I generally like to stay inside most of the time anyway, but this winter, I have hibernated long enough. Too many projects. Too many websites to work on. Too many hours in the basement.

Time to poke my head out and enjoy some spring weather and get some Vitamin D from someplace besides a bottle of multivitamins.

Every time I meet someone from another part of the country, the conversation always turns to something like… “Why do you live in Monnesota?” . There is always some insinuation that it is anything other than a great place to live. They do not get it. So for all of you morons out there who keep asking me the same question time and again.

MINNESOTA ROCKS.

Here’s why:

  1. Yes. It is cold. So what? We LIKE it that way. Get over it. We LIKE winter sports here in Minnesota.
  2. The people are AWESOME. Most of why you live where you do is the people you surround yourself with. Seriously. Think about that.
  3. There is ALWAYS something going on. Where I live, in the Twin Cities, there is always something to do and something fun at that. Living in Bumpkinville in some “go to the edge of the earth and turn left” little town is not my style.
  4. I like to fish. It does not get any bether than Minnesota for that!

So, live in your sweltering little town in East Undershirt <<insert Southern state here>>. With what I do for a living, I can live anywhere and Minnesota it is.

I am into things that catch my attention. Good food does that. Great websites do that. Nice people do that too. Scratch that. They really don’t have to be nice as much as they must be interesting. There is a reason why this blog’s domain is AbstractRude.biz. Sometimes rude is good.

Abstract is great if it works.

The key to it is, does it work? Does it catch your eye? Does it CAPTIVATE you? Does it MAKE you take ACTION?

That’s what makes cool stuff…well…cool.
